Blog roulette!
On what topic shall I write my next blog? You decide! Send me some titles, and I’ll pick one at random...
Depending on the titles suggested, the output may be:
- A (micro) short story, meandering, melancholic, moody, or possibly even magnificent (but don’t hold your breath).
- A discussion based on absolutely no evidence or information whatsoever
- A set of lyrics, possibly amusing (if you’re amused by that sort of thing)
- A doodle (I used to draw once. Honest. Ask to see some of my etchings some time...)
- Something else.**
The rules: Just come up with a title (or two). Don’t describe what you mean by it. It can be one word (Eg, 'Turnip'), or more essay style (Eg, Compare and cotnrast the works of Shakespeare and Enid Blyton in 40 words or less). I'm challenging myself to come up with something in response to whatever you throw at me...
Don’t get obscene. Double entendres are fine - think Carry On Film...***
I’ll select a title using the double blind random cat treat method on Sunday 3rd Feb; and let you know if your suggestion is chosen. Then I'll post the output on my blog next week. Feel free to comment on the output, especially if it’s gone somewhere very different from your original idea!
You can get titles to me by commenting here, or via my facebook, twitter or Google+ accounts. You can even whisper them into my shell-like**** - I'll be at Matlock Bath this weekend for Psychedic Steampunk at the Pavilion.
And if the experiment works... well, we may just have to do it again sometime!
Ready?
Spin those titles...
*Wolfie Smith was the main character in Citizen Smith, a British sit-com from the 1970s. He is completely irrelevant to the rest of this post
** To be advised, but please unlikely to be financial in nature
*** The Carry On films were 'a sequence of 31 low budget British comedy motion pictures', Wikipedia rather joylessly proclaims. They were somewhat irreverent and ribald in nature. I recommend Carry on up the Khyber or Carry On Don't Lose Your Head for starters. Do not expect adult humour. Oh dear me no.
**** Cockney rhyming slang for 'Ear'. Honest.
