Welcome...I am LM Cooke, author, musician, historian and all-round good egg. Except when I'm bad, or just plain evil.
This is my website, which encompasses all (well, some) of my many endeavours. Feel free to have a meander through the pages. Share some cheese. I hope you'll find something to interest you; there's music, words, pictures; there may or may not be digital cheese... do look out for the crows, though. They can turn murderous. So I'm told. |

There are three sides to this story. But which side is the right side?
The concluding part to The Automata Wars trilogy The Citizens certainly think they are in the right. After all, they are fighting a war that they do not understand, and did not start. A war in which they are dreadfully outmatched, with nothing to throw at their foe but courage and heart. But their enemies - the puppet masters behind the deadly automata, and the monstrous, insidious Others, lurking in the shadows - have their own agendas. Meanwhile, the mysterious plague is spreading like wildfire throughout the population. Can anything stop it? When the lines between white and black grow blurred, then something must walk between them. Something - or someone - like Lt. Greyson, the good officer. The infiltrator. But Greyson is a machine too, and his allegiances are known only to himself. It’s up to a boy soldier, a woman and a girl with her dog to save their people. They must make both alliances and sacrifices along the way - especially as a fourth agenda, that of the mysterious and dangerous Madame Jewel emerges… |
I contribute a short story to the anthology: The Tale of The Red Queen & Other Stories

This anthology is a companion to The Dark Design debut album Twelve Tall Tales. It contains short stories, dribbles, dabbles, lyrics, photo-comics, illustrations, a heartfelt warning, letters, darkness, despair, time travel, possibly a demon or two, and some light comic relief – all part of an exploration of the nooks and crannies of The Dark Design universe.
With contributions by Neil Campbell, LM Cooke, Bonsart Bokel, Duke Box, and Nils Nisse Visser, as well as an introduction by Professor Elemental.

LM Cooke music is here...

It's true, friends, the solo music is here! Public performances may be tricky as I am generally performing all sounds myself (with some notable guest appearances as exceptions), and I find it difficult to concentrate on singing and playing at the same time (ahem). But hey, there's always backing tapes, right?
A first choon, Poor Jenny, debuted on the GASP radio launch show on Midlands Metalheads on Sat 1st October, and is now available for free download via my new LM Cooke bandcamp page - take advantage if you like what you hear. More stuff will be forthcoming shortly... (Don't call me Shortly). And as above, you can find out more (and have a listen to the choon) on the LM Cooke solo music dedicated page on the music section of this site.
